I can’t believe we are already at the end of May this has been my most active month so far this year I kicked of the beginning of the month with a 5k , I rode over 60 miles on my bike and with May being national mental health awareness month , I wanted to talk about how I manage my mental health through physical activity. As a person who has worked out consistently for the last decade I have learned so much about myself and my body through fitness , while weight loss is one of the the main goals , working out does so much for my mental health as well , I experience less brain fog and clearer thoughts when I am consistently working out. I experience an automatic boost in my mood , there’s been so many times I was having a bad day and simply going for a walk or light jog helped me care less about what was bothering me. Building up my stamina and endurance is also another major benefit for me , knowing I can go longer and work harder than my last workout is something I look forward to.
